Hi everyone. I've got $20 in my pocket and I was wondering whether I should get Model pack 5 or weapon creator. I wanted to get weapon creator because I'm getting very good at modeling and was thinking of using weapon creator for them or get Jon Fletchers brilliant weapon pack 5.

I'm an expert at my modeling program ( I don't want to tell you yet because you might laugh!) I'm still learning how to texture (i've looked at a few tutorials). But right now I want to make my sort of weapons to give it a different feel. Because everyones getting pack 5.

What do you think I should get? (If you want to see some of my models just ask)

The qwestions are: can you animate? And much much longer are you willing to wait until you release your games?

Animation takes way longer to learn, that modeling, and texturing.

If you think you're ready to start making good animations (animations that YOU like, not us), then go ahead, buy weapon creator, or of course, if you think you want to wait some long months or perhaps a year.

If you think you still don't like your animations and want to release a 'quick' game, then buy MP5.

In my case, i buyed both, i specially buyed MP5 to help me up learning more weapon animations (this way i don't have to be looking at 2 games at the same time to take tips on how the weapons fire/bullet loose animations, etc.), also, it showed some support so he continues making more models (when i release my model pack, wich is almost near completetion, i'd also like to people to buy it ).

My love is seperated in 2 parts, 1 of them is 3ds Max 7, the other; FPSC.

tj990, its always a pleasure to make and use stuff you create yourself.
All my games contain stuff I made myself (however silly they may look ).

Sine you already can model well, why don't you go a step ahead and learn to texure as well. It may take time, but then wouldn't you like to make your very own weapons? I would.

I havent bought a single model pack yet. But with money I saved, I did buy ECS and WC and Signs so I could make my own stuff.

So I suggest you go for the weapon creator first. It will help you more in the run.

DJ & filya both make great points. In my case, I went for Model Pack 5. Though I can model and texture simple things, and have Signs and MagicFPS to create my own segments and basic objects, I know it will be a long time (if ever) before I can model weapons. After looking at Jon's pack, I don't think I will need any more weapons for a long time and I can work more on game creation.

You'll have to determine where you are in this thing right now, and what you want to accomplish.
Best.

You should try MagicFPS.

Why do I always bring that up?

You don't have to be insane to answer my questions, but it helps
