I would say the first version of X10 will not have vehicle support. We are aiming for stunning visuals, smart AI and high game performance (and maybe a few more tutorials). Watch this space!!

Lee,

If you are reading, can you say if X10 will be a natural and seamless development of FPSC.

i.e. Can we continue development of games with the current and future versions and updates of FPSC and expect that will be able to migrate our developments across to X10 seamlessly when it is released or alternatively will X10 be completely divorced from current FPSC development meaning that current users of FPSC would have to start their game making from scratch using X10?

Hope that makes sense.

You will need a video card that will use DX10.

And how much is FPSCX10 going to be plus Vista ? We don't have much choice but to release our game under XP with DX9. Time has run out to redo everything in X10. And yes, I read what Lee has told us what to expect. Just want to know what the price tag is going to be. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

It basicly boils down to "make it look nice" or "make it work better". Unfortunatly, TGC has chosen to "make it look nice". I'll admit that FPSC needs a graphics overhaul but it also needs many features added if it is to be a competant game-making program.

There will obviously be updates to X10, so i'm not too uphappy that they are making it look nice. However, this has come at the cost of putting it on a system that nothing runs on. The backward compatibility issues might kill X10...
