I bought unreal (the latest version) and it came with an awsome editor, and even though the maps were EXTREEMLY complex it still ran fast on my computer. so i was wondering if there was any way, no matter how much code i have to write, to adapt this to darkBASIC professional. Please help.

i think it might use the bsp format, since counter-strike (or half-life) uses this format and has complex levels and runs quite smoothly.

i think unreal works of it own fromat and not bsp.you can make a unreal => BSP compile if you now who the unreal level is made.

Erm, put it this way - the author of UnrealEd uses DBPro (and is a DBDN member, but doesn't post here much) and I'm not sure even he'd try to convert the level format over to anything else But you never know, I'll ask him and see what he says. It might be copyright to Epic or something.

Cheers,

Rich

I know it has a copywrite. In order to actually use it and sell your games you have to buy the editor. Ive herd that lots of other companies use it but it costs quite a bit of money. I just want to know exactly how i can adapt it for use in my games. by the way, thanks, Rich, for looking into this for me.
