Hi all.. Im kinda new to FPSC nd I got a litle idea for a litle FPS so I wanna make it but I got a few questons about FPSC nd other stuff..

1. I wanna make some models in Maya nd use them in FPSC.. is that possible nd how do i get my models with texture/animation from maya to FPSC? And if its not posible than what program could I use to make models?

2. Whats the max polycount (or so) for the models? I mean the models in FPSC look good but i wanna make my own models nd i think that they would have much more polygons than thee ones in FPSC coz i wanna make them a bit HQ bcoz the models in FPSC look a bit like they would be like afew years old or so.. I cant say that the graphics in FPSC are the best so i wanna make better models, lol

3.I havent read the manual but i got a few questions about FPSC itself... like
3.1 How can I edit the high of the walls coz I dont like the high of the walls nd its not so good for that what i wanna do.. :/
3.2 sounds maybe a bit stupid but how do I place doors nd windows nd other stuff into walls so that i actualy can use them like normals doors/windows so that i can go thru them.. because when i make a door in the wall it opens but thers still the wall in it.. thers no hole where i could go thru..
4. Do anyone knows any good sites where I could find tutorials for FPSC? like changing stuff or do that nd that nd so on.. Im sure I could learn something from tutorials nd it would be kinda cool.. for the start..

I think that I fogot some of the questions I wanted to ask but maybe I remember em later..

Hope that some1 can answer my questions.. hehe

You really need to read the manual.
I am sure if you use the search function that most of your questions have already been answered.
To answer a couple of your questions...
You can use any modeling program to make models for FPSC as long as you can either export or convert the model to direct x format.
You want to keep things fairly low poly for FPSC.
Objects that require animation (characters, guns, etc.) can use a few more polys but there's no reason in having a high poly crate.

You answered your own question right there.

Because I'm still a noob I'll answer you doors and windows questions. Do not use the door or windows entity. Use the segments.

And for the tutorials, check the stickies, there is a thread called "tutorial city"

I love butter

you sound like such a 'tard.

"I havnt red tha manuuel, but i gotta few querstions"

well. If you haven't read the manual, you are obviously going to have a few questions. The thing is, the manual is a very friendly beast, he just loves to be read and studied. On the other hand, most people on the forums would rather push needles into their rectal orifice than answer your questions. This isn't because they hate you. Oh no no no. Its because they have spent the time studying the manual and learning. And why should you get to shortcut that process when they didn't.

So you shelled out for Maya, without even knowing if you could use it with FPSC. What are freaking CRAZY? Fortunately you can. Download the Direct X SDK from the microsoft website. Hope you didn't steal your copy of Maya off a Torrent site, because the exporter won't work with it if you did. aw.

goodluck. read the manual
. welcome to the forums.

PS.
Whats with all the "nd"s? It's "and" dude. nd is what you put after the number 2 to make something "the second". This is a forum, not a text message. We have users from all over the world, some of whom use translators to read the site. HAve some consideration and type in plain english
