First of all i would like to pose a note to the mods: Please move this to the correct section if it is in the wrong one.

Now what i have to say:

Mostly in the fpsc forums, alot of old threads keep being bumped by the same users over and over again. This is getting very annoying. Should we have some sort of system to keep the forum clean? For example if a user bumps more than 3 threads that are 3 weeks old the user should get his or her account suspended for a few days and given a warning from every bump. This way we can keep the forum more clean. This bumping has only recently started to get a big number and I, think that something has to be done about it. Some forum members will agree with me and some wont (most likely the people who are bumping all the time). The forum looks very trashy with alot of locked threads everywhere and me as being on the forum for a long time know, that this is not how it used to be.

Could we have some sort of filter / system for the forum. This way the forum shall be much more clean and we will be much happier.

JM

P.S: Not all locked threads on the screenshot are because of bumping, but quite a few are.

This has been addressed before, and while it may be annoying to you, it really doesn't bother me, as I decide what threads I want to look at. This seems to be more of a waist of space than the bumping, but like you said "some will disagree". I think "Let the MOD's MOD" is the best advice.

Best.

The forum provides a means to hide our true identity. Too bad we always screw up and let it be seen.

The thing is though that there are new people joining all the time. New people who search the forums can come across old threads pointing to scripts, websites or whatever that are no longer available and need to ask therefore bumping an old thread.

On the other hand, an old thread shouldn't be bumped with a useless reply.

It is always a desition to leave it to the ones in charge, but i'm posing my idea here.

Maybe threads should automatically be locked after a few weeks.

... As you should.... all things should be aired in public and every one has an opinion. I was just giving mine. If it sounded snooty, it wasn't meant to. (I have a cold) lol.

Best.

But what if a new person want something from the thread that's no longer available? Should they start a new thread asking about the old thread? Old threads shouldn't be locked but useless replies should be warned. Well that's my opinion

@xplosys

Everyone is welcome to pose their oppinions in the thread. That was yours and there was nothing wrong with it.

You can download attached files if a thread is locked.
