I understand that.
I am just trying to figure out why he wants a sniper rifle without a scope.
And does he want it to appear without a scope or for the scope not to work?
Those are two very different things.
To stop the scope from working you would open the gunspec file and set zoom to 0 instead of 1.
To remove the scope from the weapon model is a whole different can of worms...

FredP, there was some other way to get rid of the scope via the gunspec. there was instructions on how to do that for the commando. Maybe use it as a template?

If you navigate to <FPSC DIr>/Files/Gamecore/Guns/Modernday/Commando there will be a file named 'Hud_Noscope.x", rename "Hud.x" to "Hud_Scope.x" and rename "Hud Noscope.x" to "Hud.x". Then open "gunspec.txt" and set "zoom" to "0". As for the WW2 sniper, change the gunspec like I said and rename "Scope_D2.dds" to "Scope_backup.dds", then make a blank DDS file and place it in the directory named "Scope_D2.dds".

No problem. I found that out a LOOOOOONGGGGGGGG time ago with my WW3 game (That was supposed to turn into Hostile Environment, but that is now a DBP game) and everyone asked, but I kept it to myself

I have wrong texture optic. I made the texture on black in 256x256 as you said and renmed it as Scope_D2.dds, Airslide, but when I try play game, it is black. I want the weapon without optic please not a black texture.

EDIT: I have problem with ww2 optic.
