in C4D is it possible to animate using bones, because it's almost physicaly impossible to make a desent walking animation trying to keyframe limbs and stuff.

Yes it is possible.

Bones can be found under 'deformers'

You can either use the crap way, which is to set areas of effect around the bones, or use vertex maps, I use vertex maps, much more accurate, I'll see if I can dig up a tutorial for that:

Here is one on rigging with vertex maps (Its facial animation, but all works the same, the first bit is modelling, just scroll down)
