Gamespace is designed to work with low polygon models, and is known to export in a DarkBASIC Professional compliant direct X format. It's also a hell of alot cheaper. If however you want to generate CGI movies for cutscenes then Truespace 7 is the way to go. Sit down, and seriously think about "what you need"

GameSpace has always handled .X objects better than TrueSpace for me. You'll run into problems with either program if you're doing more complex animations, as far as exporting the .X animation. TrueSpace 7 still doesn't address the .X problems that have burdened GameSpace for so long now.

You can, however, use a second program such as Fragmotion or Milkshape to create and export animations using GameSpace objects/characters in .X format. Its good to have Milkshape as a second program anyways, as it's a great file converter for many formats.

I think most of Gamespaces problems are because of the duplicate vertices it creates in the modelling process. This is also what causes it to crash unexpectedly from my experience.

If you clean up the mesh, it seems export fine and doesn't crash. Nobody who complains about GS seems to know this.

Without this bug it would be a great program.
