Here's a free little launcher for ya guys. Put it in the same directory as your game, rename your game exe to 'game.exe' and there ya go!

Commercial and no-commercial use is allowed.

The user can choose from one of three resolutions, choose three diffrent video qualities as follows:
*High (Divide by 0 : 512x512)
*Medium (Divide by 2 : 256x256)
*Low (Divide by 4 : 128x128)
*Ultra Low (Divide by 8 : 64x64)

They can also turn Dynamic Shadows and Dyanimc Lights On/Off. I'm making a better version that may even have a customizable interface (custom buttons and stuff) that I may combo with Decal Maker.

Vote today and play the games!

I've created a small ReadMe file to accompany Launcher (for those who'll have it sitting around for ages and then can't remember what it does or how to use it - like me!)

Quote: "Launcher by Airslide

Launcher allows the user to choose from one of three screen resolutions:

640 x 480
800 x 600
1024 x768

and one of four diffrent video qualities as follows:

*High (Divide by 0 : 512x512)
*Medium (Divide by 2 : 256x256)
*Low (Divide by 4 : 128x128)
*Ultra Low (Divide by 8 : 64x64)

They can also turn Dynamic Shadows and Dyanimc Lights On/Off.

if you have directory reading, you could just get all file names, and any exe besides the menu program is the exe you run.

Ya, that works too, but it's old and I wasn't really messing with that stuff at the time. Plus, this way the user can have other exe files if they want.

R you making this in C++? Or Basic? Or Dark Basic?

If you're doing in any of those, can you release the source, please?

Dark Basic Pro, and sorry, I usually don't give out the source to my projects, plus the expanded version will be for decal maker users.

I would apreciate if you could send me the source, I'm kinda new at Dark Basic Pro and I wanted to learn how to do this.

If you can't, it's ok. If you can, my e-mail is bdgbdg@sapo.pt

Sorry, handing it out on request isn't too much better than just posting it for download...but to give you some tips, look for Ian's Matrix plugin that does ini files and take a look at the setup.ini file in an FPSC directory - there's your start (and the execute file command should be looked out too )

no its not iv also made a program very simlar to this which also allows you to control whether shaders and or dynamic lights are used and it also lets the user choose resolution and one of two control schemes these programs are a nice piece of kit really, i was thinking of attempting to upgrade it to compact all files into one but im not sure if it would work plus i have no need to do that at the moment as i am not using it

Thanks

Well, if people want it commercial so badly, fine, new terms:

Commercial use is allowed, however a link to the FULL download version of the game must be sent to me via e-mail.
