I know there are few people here that are good 3D game artists, perhaps this could be a showcase opportunity, its require volunteers.

They primarily need modellers, UVmappers and texturers, I think they want those skills all in one, but from the sounds of their emails, they need these traits on the teams more urgently, its quite a big project, I think such a think will be worth it, for the experience and that you will see your work in something satisfying.

Yes you can take courses in 3D for Uni or college, you can also find training centres, like Escape Studios in Soho, London, or Maxon UK for Cinema 4D and Bodypaint in Bedford UK (up the road from me) As for actual colleges or universities, I don't know, its not my field for career choice, I just saw that thread on that forum, as I'm a regular there and thought of this place.

Also, I must say that the dudes just want volunteers, so, incidentally I requested more info, and from the sounds of things I might do it.

This is the sort of thing they want:

I'm presuming this is just a mod of Dawn of War, with a huge team, from the sounds of descriptions and emails.

Cool, well I have started some modelling for them, just as a demonstration for them, but I'm still awaiting on more details on the project.

I found that I could not have time for their project and told them so, I told them that I advertised here for them, they will require some work samples, but they sound very friendly and flexible, I found it a real shame that I have other priorities, I can see some members of this community seeing this as an advantage to practice their skills in something practical and gain a more dedicated attitude where there are deadlines, I think its a brilliant challenge for a modeller, hence I went to apply.
