i have made models on 3dsmax,by making a skeleton, animating it then putting a skin on it that deforms and what not.but when i load it into darkbasic and play the animation, the skin stays static, and the skeleton moves.how do i make darkbasic use these models correctly.i have had to make models by skining each bone, and this is a long drawn out process, and the results are bad to say the least.please please help.

well... i personally know of 2 ways

First in Max open a new MaxScript
now copy this ->

this will export every frame of animation as a 3ds file...
simply delete so your left with the keyframes, then you can use memblocks to deform them.

I'll go into a deeper tutorial on my site a little later tonight (developing from scratch right now), but i'll make a new FGM compiler and Importer

Skeletal Animation is very tricky and really will need to be format based as each format has a different way of making skeletons...

I use Deep Exploration
http://www.righthemisphere.com/

It exports to .x straight from a .max file, including all the animated skinned boned mesh data...

Why?

So much money?

I wanted it too but i am stuck with the 3D Exploration trial.

Which i think does not exist any more on the web...

I went outside once and my FPS rate dropped to 5.

It exists, just in spirit or rather Warez
Deep(Exploration 2.0 is actually 3D(Exploration renamed... last official 3D(Exploration was 1.84 - its funny how most people don't notice that D(E is 2.0
As for paying so much, i have a habit of purchasing things oftenly by accident ... i mean i pay for things alot from the net (habit from living in the UK and having nothing accessable local) all my details blah blah are setup to an autocomplete marco - i accidentially press enter when it ask for autocomplete and i've just bought something else.
I think asking my family about the BMW incident would probably explain how stupid i can be with it sometimes :$
