I heard of this program called Tattoo which I heard is a free 3d painting program. If anyone has a link to it, cos its practically been erased off search engines. I did manage a tutorial for how to use it though:

I tried it for 10 minutes, it was a good application for what it is, the version I had was restricted (hence I didn't continue using it), I don't know if it still is looking at that website it doesn't appear to be.

It is without restrictions the author only requires you to register it if you use it commercially.
The one thing to remember is that you still have to unwrap your model(s) before loading them into Tattoo.

Are DBPRO projects distributed to the public considered commercial distribution ?
