FPSC Classic Models and Media / How do I make X files

Just curious on what program I need to make x file, DDS Formats, and things like that so I can use FPSC to it's full capabilities. Thank you much

to make a dds file you need an art program like photoshop(obviously), but there are free drawing programs that export in .tga and .png, you can use them too

sorry, misunderstood there, you need a modelling program like anim8tor or 3ds max to export into 3ds, then you use DBConv to convert the .3ds file to .x file, when you've done that, follow the link i put up

so what's the job?

Thank you much, I have 3ds max coming in, so for example I can use 3ds to make just say a weapon entity and then put it in my user folder and run the Entity maker program and create it that way?

I also suggest you get yourself the following programs:

Magic FPS
Signs

Well worth it (although I have yet to get Signs )

I found out that I can use Milkshape to convert my 3ds stuff into X files, so I am gonna prolly use that program. Thank you for the suggestions

Gameing is Life.... However I suck at making it. Please refer the FPSC book for dummies to me!! thank you
