First off please just lock or delete the first thread about switches, sorry for the possible double post.

After much thought about a thread locrian and I had going, I have decided to add some false lighting and textures to my models to give the appearance of proper light mapping and the use of bumping. Anyway here is a wal switch I plan to animate and get in game for you guys. This will be my first attempt at this and all help and advice would be appriciated greatly. After I figure out what program to use for the animation and where to put the files and what formats all this need to be in I will have it ready for you guys. Hope you like it.

Shouldnt have made the actual flicker part and you could have swaped out the TGC files and used um with the texture switching.

Now its got to be animated and that takes a special script. You could swap out a door script to get the animation to play but then you need code added so it effects something else in the scene.

Inovator,you could use the sci fi switch6 fpe,you only need to create two frames,0-1,on/off. Animate in whatever modeling prog you use which supports animated .x,this uses the switch3.fpi.
Name your light in ifused box to turn on/off.The light would probably have to be dynamic,I dont remember exactly,but I know this can be done with lights.

Yeah I forgot about that switch(half the stuff in my folders has never even been used.)...There ya go, 2 frames, I stand corrected.

I am the same Locrian never used much of the stuff in FPSC.Always try to make my own,I have however spent long hours reading these forums,now need to get a life!

I think a light switch is kinda hard to do much work on. Not like they have any real defined edges and are generally always one color. Maybe on your next model, you can send me a version(I'd never steal it) and we can each do some textures for the exact same item....maybe it would help if you could see how someone else approached the exact same item. This model just isn't the best choice for this though.
