Hey Krazy Orange, welcome to the forums... you can also right click on an entity and move it around with pgup, pgdn and the arrow keys...

also check out this it will answer alot of your questions.

This statement I'm about to say will also help. (Basically addon to thraxas post.)

Before doing anything on forums (for the most part) READ THE MANUAL. That is big time first thing you need to do.
