I've made a few human animated figures now and 90% of the time when I load them in DB Pro and play the animation, part of the figure becomes malformed. Then I may remake the model and this time it works! It's frustrating. I'm wasting a lot of time making models over and over until whatever causes this goes away!

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if I may be doing something subtle with the model which DB Pro doesn't like.

Hello. I get the same problem. I use 3dsmax5 with Character Studio and Panda Directx Exporter (but with xskinexp.dle i get the same), and sometimes most of the vertices of the model are crazy, then i reopen the model, change some properties, export again, and it works, it is very frustrating...

phew! I'm not alone.

For me the problem seems to occur most often on parts of the figure attached to end bones - like feet and hands. But it also creates warped legs and arms. Never had the problem yet with the spine or head.

There must be a perfectly logical explanation for this.

This usually works for me:

Try reseting the Xform (its in the utility section) on all objects apart from the bones and then convert them to editable meshes. This will remove the physique/skin modifier so you have to do them again. Create an animation and then export using the latest panda x exporter. In the output options make sure the optimize option is disabled and then your done

Once you start down the Dark Path, forever will it dominate your destiny...

OH LORDY IT WORKS!!!

Words can not express my gratitude to you! I was on the edge of despair, about to write a nasty stinking letter to Lee or Panda Exporter people! This prob has been bugging me for months!

Woah what a relief! Think I'll go get pissed now.
