So I hear there is a way to take the scope off of the m4 without remodeling so I want to ask everyone this, is there a way to add on something instead of a scope, say a silencer etc.

The .X needs to contain any geometry.

The scope removal is a texture hack AFIK. There's allready a silencer-ish thing on Jon's M4.
