Most objects in FPSC, will "stamp" the textures in all the faces of the object (making what you just faced).

I suggest you get 'Magic FPS' and 'Signs4', both are good programs for object texturing.

I know Magic FPS has 1 box modeling option, that it will let you paint each side of teh box (and change the size of the box to your desire), regarding Signs4 i don't know, since i still didn't fully browse it (but i suggest you get it anyway, at least for the in-game texts).

My love is seperated in 2 parts, 1 of them is 3ds Max 7, the other; FPSC.

Thats easy, you just need to work with dropshadows, gradients and lens flare.

OK here is a bit more information for you.

*This is for photoshop, principles should be close to the same for PSP JASC*

Follow these steps to achieve that nice green screen monitor look. you can also do this in light dark greys to get a modern look, one of the most important things here is how you apply the circle gradient. make sure you drag it from top left to lower right. don't half it in the middle, it may not turn out correctly.

Use these colors for the green forground and background:

FG= Red:117 Blue:122 Green:138
BG= Red:92 Blue:97 Green:109

and for the grey screen use the following:

FG= Red:139 Blue:139 Green:139
BG= Red:103 Blue:103 Green:103

And the learning begins!

1. Start with a new image in RGB mode and
use the marquee tool to draw a rectangle.
Fill it wit black and save the selection.
Go to SELECT and select none (Ctrl+D)

2. Apply the stylize/ emboss filter with the
settings angle -45, height 5 and amount 100.

3. Apply the filter blur/gaussian blur with
the settings radius 0,7

4. Add a new layer and load the selection that
you saved in step 1. Fill the selection with
a grey/green shade. Apply render/lightning
effects with spotlight and texture channel none.
Here you can play around a little for different
light results.

5. Apply the render/lensflare with 50-300mm
and brightness approx. 70.

Regards,
RF
