In order for Lee to have a Christmas break this year, he is not entertaining feature requests for V104
RC7 solves the glowing blood splat problem, and as a special treat to the FPSC community for putting up with these machine-fire updates, I am pleased to announce DarkLIGHTS integration which replaces the current lightmapper for the next release candidate. I have already integrated it, and is currently under testing. If you have never looked at the DarkLIGHTS product, you will know what you have been missing when you see your level lightmapped with this new technology. Not only is it faster, the shadows and illumination effects are superior. I think you will approve. Of course with any new addition, and the vast field of existing projects on the go, there are bound to be a few niggles. Reports as per usual, greatly welcome.
Also, just to highlight how nice TGC are, DarkLIGHTS was developed over several months, and cost £XX,XXX to develop. It was always our intention to use this technology to bolser the power of FPSC as well as DBPro. Rather than sell this new tech as an upgrade, we have decided to integrate this for free into FPSC, and not charge you a penny. It is often taken for granted when we add new things, largely because we don't make a song and dance about the work that went on behind the scenes, let alone the development cost. Today I felt like dancing
We also plan to integrate DarkAI for free too, but I will leave this one until after Christmas!
