i have a program and when i go to compile it and then run the program it works fine at first until i click one of my buttons which puts another sprite on the screen, when i do this the program appears to stop almost completely but it actually takes the program a minute or 2 to paste the image to the screen, but when i run my program in the debugger it works fine, ive tried reinstalling DBP, direct x, and even my videocard drivers and none of this has fixed it, i have also tried to recreate the problem outside of my program to give everyone here and example of whats happening but i havent been able to recreate the problem yet, if anyone has any ideas as to what may be wrong it would be greatly appreciated

OK, so you want us to guess

Try putting a sync immediately after you create the second sprite.

heh, done that too, i thought that was the problem also, and no i wasnt intending for you to guess, just wanted suggestions to spark an idea in my head as to what was wrong, i appear to have found the problem though, it turned out to be a problem with the compiler, i was compiling the program in fullscreen exclusive mode at 640*480*16, it works fine if i compile it under windowed-fullscreen
