Ok, before I begin the advertising for this FREE toolbar with NO spyware.
__________________________________________________________________________
Mods-
The toolbar I have released is not spyware, but merely a creation of mine via ourtoolbar.com. I have searched "toolbar" and there is 1-2 other toolbars that are still alive and well on this forum that were made from ourtoolbar.com . I don't see them being deleted out of existance off of this forum. Hmm... Maybe you're not the n00b friendly forums that you say you are. Give people a chance. Just because their username is not "Butter Fingers" or "Locrian" or even "Errant AI" doesn't mean they don't have something to give. I do not appreciate my sig (see sig at bottom) being erased "just because". If you didn't like the link to the exe file, then I could've changed it. I will change it back to the webpage for the new toolbar (trust me-you'll like it) not the exe. To those of you that downloaded my toolbar-and know how good it is-please post here.

Now for the advertising.
__________________________________________________________________________

THE NEW TOOLBAR V 2.0 IS OUT.
Bigger, better and more.... colorful...? With icons and pictures and less boring text comes the new v2.

notice: the toolbar is normal theme colored. it does NOT come orange-that is my paid for computer theme.

I will not point out dumb features with pic's...but heres the dumb ones.
-Direct link to tgc.com .
-google.com search. (sorry england-not .co.uk)
-search anything including
*current site
*dictionary
*encyclopedia
*google images
*news
...etc. Now on with the pictures.

Upgraded TGC Forums link. It used to just link to the forum index, but now features a drop-down menu letting you manually chose the forum. See p1.

P1

TGC Products option still same-but now with menu pictures. No biggie.

TGC Account options let you do anything you want, and now with TGC pictures.

And it still includes e-mail and weather.

So that's it.

SWEET. Glad to see people are liking it. I don't know which mod deleted the post (cuz I can't find it) but, I do not know why they thought it was spyware. Whoever you are: Please check before you just go deleting stuff. I put alot of work into that post with the screenshots and crap. (luckily, I saved the BB code and text of this thread.)

I've now installed it, this is great! Just add the ability to spell check input boxes and I can then get rid of my GoogleBar!!

lol happy people are posting. I didn't (and still don't) get why the mod's thought it was spyware. Maybe a mod will tell us... c'mon mods-come outta your hiding spot.

Although I hate and would never use a toolbar, I like the work you've done and the website. Your presentation looks very professional. Nice work.

BTW: If you keep teasing the dog, he will get you eventually.

I don't think anything was done out of spite. More likely a mistake and best left alone. They all do a good job here.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

I did because the first toolbar had spyware:

It's a low-level form of spyware - it sends information back to Conduit, and they use it to target ads at the user.

They make no real promises in their privacy policy either: http://www.conduit.com/privacy/ConduitPrivacy.aspx

Now I don't know if your new toolbar has the same thing but the last one did and if you like I will request the mod who found this out post here if you wish.

I don't use toolbars as a rule...I have too much crap on my screen as it is.
And I have no problem with you posting your toolbar as long as this one doesn't do what the last one did.
