im just looking around for ways to animate objects by just changing the positions of the points in the model by keyframing. no bones at all. i tried it in 3ds max and as a max file in 3ds max the animation plays, but when exporting to .x format there is not animation , its just whatever was at frame 0. am i trying to do something that is impossible, am i retarded, or a combination of both.

you need to change the key method (on the 2nd tab i think) to transform, rotate, scale mode, instead of matrix keys i think

I don't have a sig, live with it.
