I want to play game on TV. But resolution TV is 720x576 pixels and not equals standard computer resolutions (640x480 or 800x600).
How to set display mode in such non-standard resolution?

You cant unless your graphics card is capable of those odd resolutions. If it is, then use the standard command for setting the display mode.

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

This is normally taken care of by the graphics card. I use both and ATI and a Nvida based refrence board for our external testing and 640 480 looks correct on the television (we use 800x600 but same diff) so I would suggest you can write your game for 640x480 and it should still be fine.

Agreed, my ATI card allows connection to a TV set and it will re-size for you. Code for a 640x480 audience for best clarity.

That depends upon the Gforce3 Card you have but a lot of them have the Svideo out on the back all you need is an Svideo to Composite connection and you can attach to any standard Television.

I do this all the time, we test a lot of the upcoming title releases on the big screen here at the office, so that all the developers can see the progress. All you need is a video card with "Tv Out"

You are looking for a video card that Tv Out on it. Most manufacturers of cards have one. I know you can get ATI cards and Gforce Cards with the connection (we have both here at the office). as far as the connections go, it is fairly simple, plug the svideo in to the back of your video card, and then in to the back of the tv. go to your display properties turn it on. No magic involved.

I think thier is a bit of confusion. You are attaching your computer to the TV so you can attach whatever controllers you want. Keyboard, Joystick, Mouse are all useable.

By pluging your pc into the TV you are only replacing the monitor, so therefore any mouse, keyboard, joypads etc you use on the pc stay connected to the pc, but the picture is on the tv not the monitor Most new 3d cards have tv out now, even cheap ones, however you will most probably need a cable to convert S-Video out to SCART. If your TV or VCR doesn't support SCART then chances are you won't have much luck converting it to an arial input. If your 3d card doesn't have a tv out socket, you can pick up a cheap gf4mx card with tv out for around £60, or if you are happy with the 3d card, some PCI TV cards will allow TV-out, even whilst using 3d accelleration

...Hmmm, On the back there is a plug. Plus with the card came this adapter. It turns it into a female phono TV thing. I guess this means I've gotta buy a male to male video.
