Does this water look realistic?
for rendering purposes I mean, a little too high poly for games..

i have some other pics of water but they dont look this good.

And i know the rocks look weird i just threw them in for some reflection effects.

people who live in glass houses should dress in the basement.

Yeah, make it much larger and have some fog and you've got a great water effect IMO.

Use shaders. The Ultimate shader pack has a few water shaders (however that do not look too great on my 6600, i still dont know what is up with that >.<

Its a blender render, its shaders are going to be better and more customisable than a .fx shader.

It does look realistic, I'd put a sky dome in, with clouds etc. they always make the reflection look nicer for me.

more white froth near edges that create turbulence would improve the overall look.
another layer of water the exact same shape with the white froth layer would be a method to add it.
