1. It isn't red.
2. It's a pipe fully 3d.

AaronG, your toolbar is no way officially connected to TGC, it has been removed because it has mild spyware components, your not officially allowed to ruin the good name of TGC. If I catch the toolbar again you will get banned for a while.

Just curious,,,what "MILD" spyware is in the toolbar? I have used that service for years for my business,,,and NEVER had any issues with spyware...so I am curious as to what you had found?

Never use toolbar creating sites. Especially 3rd party sites. its always spyware.

well,,I have to disagree,,,only from experience...I have thoroughly tested the companies products from the site the toolbar was made from,,and have used them for 4 years now...so i'ts not true for ALL toolbar making sites. Yes, a lot of toolbars you get in freeware and such DO have spyware in them, or tracking bugs,,but not all.

It's a low-level form of spyware - it sends information back to Conduit, and they use it to target ads at the user.

They make no real promises in their privacy policy either: http://www.conduit.com/privacy/ConduitPrivacy.aspx

This is what toolbars from ourtoolbar.com do.

This has been verified.

[OFF TOPIC]
@Indi- Can you please read this Thread concerning this toolbar? RickV complimented him on his toolbar. Also you are never going to be completely spyware free. This is not an attack by any means but I think you should leave it to Rick to decide if the link needs to be removed, since he did give kudos on it. And I am sure he would have posted something if it would have rubbed him the wrong way. Thats why TGC pays him to look out for the best interests of the company.

[ON TOPIC]
@JohannesM- I am glad to see you jumping in feet first! For this particular model I would paint the texture in Photo Shop or other like software. Copper is a simple enough texture to create. I would also recommend creating a few more textures for it as well. Maybe a few levels of rust, brushed steel, and Oxidized copper.
You should do a search in google for tutorials or visit the respective companies website.

RF

Dave,
While I respect Rick and his position he usually leaves it up to the mods to police the forums.
And it was originally my decision to remove the toolbar link and sig.
Aaron insisted on reposting the link and replacing the sig.
The spyware in the toolbar was confirmed by another moderator.
Aaron had the chance to make another toolbar that was spyware free or not to post the one containing spyware on these forums.
He chose to ignore those things.
My responsibility is to make sure that the TGC forums are a safe place to be and part of that is removing any links/downloads to spyware.
I understand that there may not be those who agree with the decision and that is fine.Everybody has a right to think whatever they wish.
I just want to make sure that everyone knows that this is my responsibility and not indi's.
