I read through the Beginners Guide to DarkBASIC game programming and I learned quite a bit. However im wondering if there is any source code out there that is a complete shooter but is very simple, something that runs but is just a starting point, because im a bit stuck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Have you looks at the Retro competition results? This sort of question was the whole point of the competition.

Have a look at Nemesis (85) or Yars Revenge (74).

This will get you to the results page. Pick an entry - the download link is on the lower right inside the comments box.
