Hey guys. If any of you have checked the TGC webpage recently you might have noticed a new item available under 3D modeling, a package called AC3D. Has anyone used this or have tried it yet? Or did I just miss something in the latest newsletter?

Just checked and saw it too.

It's very good modelling tool and I used it when I started with 3D models(only trial, now I use Blender).

If you can afford it I would recommend you to buy it because it's very good and powerful, but also easy to learn.

AC3D is a good tool, it is sort of like a barebones of Silo or Hexagon, but I haven't tried it in ages, but from reading a recent review in a magazine, it is getting better, but doesn't appear to have displacement mapping yet though, but then I guess that's what you expect at that price

AC3D IS good. Thats what I been using when I first started out. Few of my earlier mechs were made from those. Its not a system hog and get the job done well. Gave up using it cus it didnt have animation features.

On a side note, I havn't nticed AC3D. It looks pretty good, but I'll stick with Milkshape.
