I recently made a sword model in Milkshape, but I can't/don't know how to do animations. I'm also too lazy to texture it, so I'm giving the model out for free.
This is my first model by the way.

Model is currently in Milkshape formart.

looks good, more like a knife than a sword, unless it's a katana or something.

but this doesn't really have anything to do with fpsc models, I think that this should be in 3D chat unless you get this fpsc ready.

It has more polys then required for a model of that calibre, however if your starting out its not a bad attempt, the handle can have less divisions, the handles bridge could have less as well.
the only reason you would need more polys if is you were zooming very close to the model in either gameplay or cutscene.

in this example i found on the net, see how the handle has less divisions.
and the blade is minimalistic in regards to polycount.

I see. I'll have that in mind next time I try a model.
