*Ahem*

Yes, I'd like to see if any of the TGC staff, who are a few mods, can help me with this question:

Are you able to download the electronic full version of FPSC without buying it? Because my dad's not comfortable with ordering stuff online from a service he doesn't trust. So, I'd like a mod who is also a staff member of TGC to tell me the answer. I get ticked off that you HAVE to buy the game in order to download the electronic version.

So, a little help.

Thanks.

If your dad doesn't like ordering online stuff, then just goto Fry's, Target, or WalMart and buy it there.

They have it at Target? I tried it before, and it's not there. It's not on the site either, where is it? And how much is it?

The best thing to do if you don't feel comfortable is... buy it at a store. Fry's (like silent thunder said) would be the first place I would look. Or what I do when I buy stuff over the internet is go to a grocery store like safeway and buy a visa gift card. You can use them anywhere that visa is accepted. I don't know if it is safer, but it makes me feel safer.

Well I live about twenty minutes away from one. I live in sac cali. So if you don't live in Sac then I have no idea. I would prob just go with the visa gift card. that's your best bet.

There are no Fry's in Pennsylvania. Really your best bet is to order it online. I did it and you get the downloadable version the next day. and the CD itself comes in about 2 weeks. This is a good company and you can trust them but if your still skeptical try Amazon.com
Here is a link. this just might help you out.

Yeah my parents hate buying things over the internet. But I managed them to get it. And absolutely nothing went wrong. So don't worry about it.

Well, I'll see if Amazon'll work. BTW, where IS that store where FPSC is sold at on Amazon? I live in South-western Pennsylvania, which...guess what city that is, and you'll be correct. And...you'll get a cookie!

I posted a link to the site. Amazon is a site not a store. The stores that carry are CompUSA, Best Buy and Amazon.com. I highly recommend buying it straight from the game creators. If you still dont trust amazon or TGC then check out your local Best Buy.

Well, I checked on BestBuy.com, and...NOT THERE! Where in the world is it?? What category?! I'm ready to pull my hair out, so HELP ME!!!!

EDIT: OK, I've searched all over CompUSA, but found DarkBasic 3D Game Creator. Is that any good? Is it better, or worse, than FPSC? Tell me before I go craaaaaazy!

EDIT 2: Never mind, I found out DarkBASIC is hard to use. I'll take a gander at FPSC again.

Try Froogle. On the Google page, right above the box where you type your query, click on more. Then click Froogle and type in FPS Creator. And always remember..... Google is your friend.

Best and Happy New Year!

You are going to have to buy FPS Creator onlin unless it is in you local best buy. You defiantly want to choose the product you are most comfortable with.
Quote: "Never mind, I found out DarkBASIC is hard to use. I'll take a gander at FPSC again."

Dark Basic is really not "hard" it just takes time, patience, and effort. If you want to make a game other that a first person shooter than get Dark Basic. If you want to make a nice First person shooter get FPS Creator.
Dark Basic: Requires programing, takes longer to make a game, is more flexible, you can make virtually any type of game you can imagine (with time), its easy to learn.

FPS Creator: A drag and drop engine, very easy to make a game, does not require programing, you can make a good first person shooter, easy to learn.

I hope you figure out what direction you are going and good luck finding it in a store. (not sarcasm)

***IMPORTANT***
Before you buy either FPS Creator or Dark Basic download the demo. You don't want to buy a product and not like it.

I have the FPSC demo. Wait, listen to this:

Yesterday, the dialogue box said "Only 19 days until your demo expires" or w/e, then today, it said 25 days? What's up, man? Oh well, get more days!

Can FPSC be found at Target in Pittsburgh? Because I checked their site, and it ain't there! Can someone help me. Oh, and I'm gettin' FPSC soon, I've got $50, a very superb computer, and.......socks! Where could you go without socks, eh?

Yeah, anyways, don't Target sell FPSC in the electronics or something? Their site don't have it, so my next best bet is to go and look in Target. Help.....

Its not at Target. The stores that carry are CompUSA, Best Buy and Amazon.com I gave you a link to where it is on Amazon in my previous post. Also its not on the sites of CompUSA or Best Buy you will have to actually go look. I checked my local stores and they don't carry it but yours might. You know what you might want to do is send Rich Davey an e-mail and tell him your situation. I'm sure he of all people could help you. His email is: rich@thegamecreators.com

~good luck~

Hmmm...I'll try BestBuy. I got a $100 gift card there, so I can buy FPSC, and maybe order a model pack.

Assuming you actually intend to make some sort of cash transaction to get FPSC, go to game or something. None of that Walmart trash you have over in the US.

Would you kindly look away from the screen when you're in my presence?

Yeah, WalMart sucks BIG TIME! They have really dumb policies, dumb "low" prices; those prices are friggin' high!

Game? Never heard of it. I like in Pennsylvania, which is sorta parrallel to southern UK.

Pretty much, I'll try Amazon. Most of the stuff we've ordered on the Internet is from Amazon, so yeah!

Thanks, guys. Oh, and how do I take a pic of the game in Test Game (in the 30 day trial)? I tried F12, and PrintScreen, doesn't work. Help me with this problem also!

PrintScreen should work, but it saves to the clipboard which means you only get one. After capturing with PrintScreen;

Open paint. Click File/New. Create a new file 1024x768 and then select Edit/Paste.

If you are using an intuitive program like PhotoShop, just select File/New, and it will create a new file the size of the image on the clipboard. Then select Edit/Paste.

Best.

American Infantry- Since you asked for help. I STRONGLY recommend that you buy straight from TGC. Buying from amazon is not recommended. When buying through TGC you get GREAT customer support. You won't get that from amazon.
