If you want helpful criticism, then you're texturing needs quite a bit of work. Did you model this off of a reference of an actual guillotine? I believe the blade is placed much higher. You could also add a "head-basket".

Look up the French Revolution, or just guillotine, in a search engine. Check it out, you don't have to use a pic as a reference in your modeler, but it will give you a better idea of shape and scale.

Keith is giving good advice, its hard to tell the scale with nothing else in scene, but the proportions look a little off.I dont know how you created the hole for the head to sit in,did you boolean this?
Let us know what modeling software you used.
cheers rolfy.

i used milkshape and (i know youre gonna kill me for this) i basically used a cardboard cutout for that board with the hole. Its just a box with a circular hole in it.

I like the texture, just needs work in minor places, e.g a better wood texture. can't wait to see the pack.

this is not a thread hi-jack..

but... i had a little attempt of a Guillotine aswel. Thought i might aswell show it.

not as good as yours, I just am just learning to model and had some spare time to waste.

Any torture devices would be fine for the pack, maybe a rack would be a good start?
