I just watched part of the video; I only got to the dual uzis, as I'm on dial-up. So far it looks great; I especially like the attention to detail on the uzi straps when reloading (as far as the motion). Great work Simon!

Guns look great for the most part. At 55 sec on the vid, the left hand/arm shows a section where the polys were deleted in the forearms for poly count reasons. Was this missed? Has this been Fixed? Are there any more sections like this which basically make the gun useless to us?

I'd love to run off and buy this right now, but I know from past experiance, TGC will release things with a few flaws. I get its 20$ but still..

Is there more than one hand texture for this model pack?? I just bought model pack 5, and i like the hand textures for it. the combat hand textures are cool. i was wondering if i bought model pack 6, can i use the hand textures from model pack 5 so i could have model pack six guns and model pack 5's guns.

I just want to add, that I have noticed a few other guns where you can see inside the polies. Iam sure you can see inside the arm at one point, with the grenade launcher.

But I doubt its any thing to worry about, because Ive noticed Call of Duty 3 has the same problem when using a panzersherk or bazooka.

Iam going to buy this pack once I update my balance.

Here's a pic of what loc was talking about. I'm pretty satisfied with the pack, and if I wasn't looking for it I probally wouldn't have seen it. I didn't notice any problems with the M79, but I haven't looked that closely.

@Airslide,
Yeah for 20 bones this is all worth it. It's just to bad, cause I wanted to use the dual wields the most. Oh well. Tons of great guns, and I like the segs. And I love that they dont look bulky or appear to have gloves. Makes it supper easy to redo as a female. The hand mesh is real high quality too(other then the missing poly, which can be fixed if your animating anyways), may redo my stuff with these hands so there a continuity in the game thats never lost.

EXACTLY what I'm trying to do. No success though. I suck at texturing. Oh, would you be interested in some sort of trade? I'd have to do ALOT of scripting or something to get something with your quality, but I need a female arm texture badly (and again, I can't texture to save my life). I understand if you don't want to/can't, but it would be quite helpful.

Hey, could someone else verify this for me?
If you place a suppressed weapon in a map, then build the game, it won't copy the suppressors texture to the games folder, this leaves the guns suppressor white. I've tried it two times with the same results.

I just want to clear things up.

Model pack 6 is only going to work if you have the latest BETA installed right? otherwise there'll be no support for 2 firespot bones or the multiple textures.

1.04? Yeah, gotta have that for the pack to work. But from what I see, the silencer textures still don't get copied to the game folder when you build your levels.

Just copy it over. And butters - I'm not sure about for pickups, but as you probally know even V1 supported multiple textures on guns, as many of the default ones had them.

I don't think so... you could edit the model pack 6 hand textures to make them look like model pack 5... but i don't think they'll work 'out of the box' so to speak...

You can put the model 5 textures on the models 6 guns but I bet they would be screwed up.
There's no way they both could possibly have the same UV maps.
It would be almost the same as retexturing it.

My favorite is My own Caspian M1911 with polymer frame (reciver)..
In this pack I like thoose Glocks, but it looks like it has the old frame.. Glock dosnt use it anymore, and the new frame is lazer and light ready.. A gun I wourld love to see is the beauty AK5!! The Swedish army use it, and its better than both M16 and the russian AK47...

I've never heard of an AK5. Although, I highly doubt it is completly better than the M16 or AK47, there is probally some drawback in one form or another (weight, size, accuracy, range ect)

Well, its nato standard. And it is based on the belgian FN-FNC.. It use more modern materials then both M16 and AK47.. And even if the gun is very light to carry it works fine for close-battles when You have to fight with the frame.. Do that with an M16 and it will break down in peaces.. (Thoose parts are Made in 1960s plastic) The AK5 might also be one of the most tested AKs ever... Yea, I really miss this gun in this modelpack...

Heres a short-barrel version of AK5 (.png)

Well, I've put a few through hell and never broke any into pieces. I think a few others here have as well, and I'm wondering if you're one of them or your just repeating something you've heard. I know you to be a very opinionated person and would like to know if it comes from experience.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

So how does that hold up in the dirt? I know the AK-47 can fire under nearly any circumstances. I've had the M16 and the M249 (SAW), run through the dirt and still operate; not as well as the AK-47, but still good.

So, do you have experience in the Armed Forces of your country, or are you just putting out your opinion?

-Keith
