i'd like my rigid objects to not go past a certain speed under any circumstance, whether its from its own force or bounce form a collision, but i cant figure out how to do it.

anyone?

You could try adding a drag force that is dependent on speed. This
is what terminal velocity is.

In fact the opposing force = (drag coefficient x velocity)

So your Net Force = Total Force - Opposing Force

Then add that to your "phy add rigid body force"

The opposing force increases as the speed of the object increases, eventually the opposing force will equal the
applied force, and the object will move at constant speed.

Just play around with the drag coefficient until you get the desired results.

Cheers.
