--Version RC10 1.04--

Why is there a set limit to how many levels i can compile with fpsc.

I can only compile 5 levels it runs fine but, when i add just one more the map editor goes black and i get an extra debug error00, when i press the "build game" button.

Is this set limit due to the latest version of RC10 or is it my computer it self, has any body else gotten this error ether?

(and these are not my levels i tryed loading in some fpsc levelsd such as the simple.fpm still when i add six or more then hit compile i get the error)

if i can have some assistance on this, it would be greatly aprechated.

cheers

A quistion to all RC 10 users.

Does your fpsc have any .dll's within the fpsc programs folder?
A response from any body using the RC10 update would be great.

Cheers

If you mean within the "FPS Creator" Folder, then yes. (BCGCB59.dll)

It would be very helpful when you request help if you would be more precise (there is no "fpsc programs" folder) and give your system specs.

Your issue could be caused by low memory and we would all be here guessing different things.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

I've got the same issues. It's due to the recent changes TGC has made to FPSC. They have not taken into account that these changes are demanding much more from your system.

I would suggest uninstall V104, go back to V1 and try to build a game in it to see what will happen.

With RC104 most of my levels and complete games do crash, not so with V1.

There is no set limit, but FPSC has become to much for your computer to handle, that's the limit you're encountering now.

I do not believe it is my hardware, because many of the programs i have need the latest software and hardware updates, and are much more demanding that fpsc.

I think this issue is due to programming ISSUES with fpsc. I believe that there may have bin somthing i did not do in the install of RC10 but i have come to the conclusion that, it is unlikely.

Maby one of the programmers or support staff from TGC could help on this one?

Dude FPSC works fine for me with 1.04 RC6 and I have 512 mg RAM and integrated graphics.

Those specs are pretty horrible but FPSC seems to work well enough apart from a slightly lower framerate.

I think the issue is with various system quirks and stuff like that make FPSC run differently for different users.

All I'm saying is that FPSC is not a stable program.

All the best,
SS.

Dude... he's talking about RC10!!! RC6 and RC10 are a day and night difference. RC6 is still the 'old' FPSC. After that the 'new' FPSC has come, using a new lightmapping system.

But I agree with you, FPSC is not a stable program at all, for me it is turning more and more into a nightmare, unfortunally.

Yes a night mare indeed. I have just created 76 indeepth levels for my game X.C.O.N (A NIGHT MARE INDEED).
I no i can only compile 50 but there will be an extension to the game aswell.

--It looks like there is no hope for me and my game. I may just-- --have to go back a few RCs to atleast compile a game it self.--

Although i have just emailed lee and the support staff at TGC (__hopefully just HOPEFULLY they will know what to do.__)

And yes i aswell agree there are many twist and turns with fpsc, it is __--an unstable program for sure--__.
