I've been using dbp since two years, and my worst night mare
is exporting 3ds (boned) models to dbp,
sometimes it works and mostly not.

I have to rebone and reanimate the character again in order to
make it work and sometimes i remodel it all over again.
and i never discovered whats the problem!

For example here's a model (ripped from TES oblivion for testing only)
i boned and animated it (in this i used the physique modefier)
in 3ds every thing goes just fine:

after exporting using pandas xporter and load it in dbp:

so is there another way to export from max (other than panda)
or is there a way to fix this?

whats the best way to export from max to .x? (with bones)
* the model is included in the attachments in both .max and .x formats.

Thanks in advance

I think the model ends up scaling differently than your rig when exported. Try showing your rig when exporting, so that it will be visible in DBP. If this is the case.. try doing a Reset Xform on the character by going to utilities. (you have to remove your physique modifier before you do this) When thats done, collapse your stack down to a Editable Poly. When thats done, try skinning or physique'ing it again.. and export.

Hope this helps

lol like what jonny said...
delete the physique modefier then go the utilities tab on
the right menu then you'll find a button (Reset Xform)

press that while your character is selected.
then the form of the character will change, may become smaller
or bigger or whatever, fix it then rig it again ...
