Could there be a no media board for people to make games as big as they want but without media so that people can just come on line, copy paste the source and play. I know the 20 line competition does this, but it restricts people to maing small games. I can see alot of side scrolling shooters being made if this board opened not to mention little 2d rpgs. just a suggestion.

I suppose you could make it similar to the DBC Showcase entries on the other site. Or like gamedev.net's Showcase pages.

They should let us upload media from our computers. There would be a limit of course, but it could be very useful nonetheless.

yeah to have a place to put the media on the db site would be nice. im hosted at freewebs and if ne1 has tried to download anything youll know how crap it is. but still, media free would be better still since then its no effort to play the game and you can make some pretty cool media free games.

It would be kewl to see code that generates interesting textures and images in real time so that no external media files are required. I've seen Demos crammed into 64K do this, absolutely amazing how they did it.
