Okay, I've been fooling around with DBPro trying to figure out how things are positioned. I want to see if I've got this correct.

As far as I can tell, objects created in DBPro such as cubes and plains are positioned by the very center of the object. Objects loaded from .x files are positioned by their bottom center.

Is that accurate?

That's the thing about guessing, 90% of the time it's 50/50

Objects loaded from a file use the 0,0,0 coordinate of the model as its reference point. This doesn't mean that 0,0,0 is the bottom center or anything alike, that depends when one creates the model in the modelling software.

For example, i did a character and its 0,0,0 is in between its feet, but then i got a flying-orb thing with a lot of gizmos and stuff around it , and the 0,0,0 is somewhat on the center of the object.

Okay, I think I've got it now. So the position of 0,0,0 on the object is up to the person who makes it.

Is it the common procedure that humans and items placed on the ground or a flat surface have their 0,0,0 co-ordinates set at their bottom middle?
