Heres my Entry:
Mp3 Player. 101 polygons. It used to be 100 polygons.... but it gained an extra poly from somewhere in the texturing process! Here it is:

O and the texture is 256x256
Cheers!

Some decent competition, nice stuff

I won't have time to edit this any further so i'll just put this in for entry, i'm relatively happy with it, so here it is.
Textured mostly by hand [adding shadowing, darkspots, water damage, graffiti and the garage door.]
3dsmax and photoshop.

tri's: 62
Texture: 256x256

-Cheers

Good texturing, I see you let out one of our anti-social members of the pen, because they have gone and put graffiti on that dudes garage, I'm sure Lee and Rich will get an earful for that one...

As for the other entries, I love them, the scarecrow is cool and I already commented on the MP3

It is a nice model MC, good luck with learn blender, I found the rendering tricks quite easy in it, but the rest I found I didn't want to learn

fik gets my vote if I'm allowed as a participant.. I'm a Dr Who fan what can I say. (even if 98 'Faces' in Anim8or = 196 polys) a square face is always made of 2 polys when converted to .3ds or .x etc.

Cheers!

You're allowed.

Sorry about that one, generally I or we tend to refer to quads simply as polies, but tries as a tris, I covered that confusion, but failed to include it into the main bit afterwards because it was the third post I had made. Which I'll quote.

Quote: "
It's 100 polies, as in quads and tris, so if you have 1 tri and 99 quads that's fine, just make sure when you do a polygon count it is within 100 polies, with a slight margin of error which is usally about 20% (Which would be 20 polies over is acceptable)"

I vote for BigAdd

I think he made best use of the geometry limit, but the render is just a little lacking. And I give fik the very close 2nd place.

As a Doctor Who fan, I really want to vote for fik, but I'm going have to go with 5Louiz.

I wish I'd seen this sooner, and had had the time to enter... Oh well, I'll start entering some after the Nvidia compo is over.

I dunno when the end date was I couldn't seem to find the info, but i guess now you all voted i missed it.

Anyway I was making a simple fishing boat for my mini game and amazingly it came to exactly 100 polygons so I thought I'd show it.

It's made in the free DeleD Lite (i wish more people would say what package they use)

I've got a problem with the in DBP game shot, i had to turn object light off because the gourad shading looks messed up on the individual plains anyone know how i can fix this?

As it's traditional not to vote for ones self, I'll vote Fik for the Dialek because the screen shot was in the modeller and nothing fancy was added later to try and cool it up What program are you using Fik?

Whoops! Sorry, have had little time to the computer, I'm afraid in that I totally forgot, I should really arrange something around this, as I am the one who is beginning to miss the dates, not the participants.

Here we go:

Big Add 7
Fik 6
5louis 5
David Gervais 2
Medieval Coder 1

Quite close, but Big Add is the winner, well done buddy, you can pick the next theme.
