I am in the process of making an MP40 sub machine gun model. I have got a picture which you can view below but there still is a few small bits I need to fix on it. I am going to upload the model when it's done and you can download it free. Unfortunately it hasn't got any hands for the gun yet and I haven't animated it but I will try to do both.

The gun can be downloaded below.

Well, the first person to post is going to say to never post in .bmp anyway, so it might as well be me. I suggest you re-upload the image in .jpg format, that is also a forum requirement I do believe too so. Even MS Paint saves .jpg, so just load that image in MS Paint and re-save as .jpg, then reupload.

That looks nice. can I see some other views? front side and isometric?

I'm just interested, it looks very nice (far nicer than it'll ever look in FPSC), but I also have a feeling it's a smoothed extrude job.
Still, the means don't have to justify the end, and it looks very nice.

Since you're going for High Quality, I'm gonna look for the tiny flaws.

1)In the image, the right hand side of the bottom of the magazine doesn't have a texture, it looks like the UV needs pulling across a bit.

2)The shell casing eject has an odd bump on the left hand side. Perhaps inwardly extrude it to get a propper cavity.

3)The grip suffers the same issue as the magazine, and the texture is offset at a slightly odd angle.

Really anal things I know, but I thought I'd try and be a bit more helpful than just saying:

Quote: "OMG OMG OMG, that's like better than JonF, please please please give it away free, please, I need it for my (really original) WW2 Zombie game with SciFi elements "

1. Is your avatar from an Oddworld game?
2. That is a very good model. The textures goes well with it. Definitely better that the stock MP40.

Yes those were the flaws I am trying to fix. I will get some more angles and post them here for you. I am looking to make a few more free models, any requests?

If you want to do more weapons, I'd say invent your own or go fantasy/scifi. There's a serious deficit of anything not modern day.

Otherwise, just make what you want man.

Wow that's nice, I'll add hands if you like. When 3DSMax has finished downloading by torrent from the 3DS FTP server, I can do it. Just drop it by me on an email, and I'll sort it out.

Here is a 3ds Men In Black weapon I made in about five minutes so it isn't as good as the MP40. The texture is off an MIB gun image I found on the internet, can it be used in commercial games? If it isn't allowed please don't sell games with this weapon in it, but you can use it for freeware games. If it is legal to use it in shareware games feel free to.
