Okay, i just got FPSc and read through the manual, kind of.

Skimmed....
whatever

Anyway, I was wondering how to make an invisible wall so the player couldn't jump off a balcony to a lower level.

Is there a way to make invisible objects?
I tried setting the alpha value with scripting but the object is still somewhat visible.

Also,

Is there a way to turn off sound effects when testing games?
Because I listen to music when Im making my games and the footsteps-on-metal sound gets really annoying.

finally,
How do you use items?
I put an object called 'torch' in the game and i can pick it up, but where is there an inventory or something to use it?

If you shoot a mime, should you use a silencer?
Why do kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Right click on the entity in the editor, and change the transparency value. There is no way to turn off sound effects that I know of that's worth doing just so you can listen to music. And also, there is no inventory.

I have several posts about invisible stuff. And there is already several posts about invisible stuff. But I'll help because it took me a really long time to figure out, then fred came and saved the day.

True black 0,0,0 makes things invisible. If that doesn't work, apply layer masks to it.

You should be able to figure it out from there.

You can download invisible wall segments and entities from my site.

Like what objects. I'm not sure what good invisible objects would do. Do you mean like an invisible crate?

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

okay, i got it now.
The objects texture was preventing it from being invisible.
i made a black jpg and used it for texture, now it works.

@xplosys:
I mean making an object invisible to use as an invisible wall.

Does anyone know how to use the "torch"?

The torch or flashlight can be used as a pickup or a key or something like that but you can't use it as a flashlight at this point.
There have been attempts to make a flashlight type mod and some have worked better than others. You can try searching for something like that.
