My current city map Im using for game testing is getting a bit boring, so I thought I might take a stab at modelling a familiar map to anyone who plays halo 2 multiplayer; headlong. Its my favourite map from halo 2 and the geometry on it is actually really simple.
So far Ive got the exterior of one of the buildings finished, its at 240 polygons so far:
Its turning out to be really simple, I just throw in halo 2 in my xbox and since my computer is in my living room with the tv, I can basically walk around the entire map in halo to look at the geometry, and then model it out in wings.

Oh yeah, I was thinking of putting my own twist on the map as well. Headlong in Halo 2 is basically a city under construction, for those that havent seen it. I might model this to be the city completed, with the gates open and the roads all in place, we'll see.
