Hi

Is it possible to have a 3D screen in an area of a Windows Form? Im planning a project where that could be VERY good (and my customers happy)

DGDK.NET contains a WinForms sample that demonstrates this behaviour. But if you're using DGDK (C++), you need to use the dbOverrideHWND function.

Note, overriding a window does not take effect until you call SetDisplayMode again after the call to OverrideHWND.

As I have not seen such a sample in my own copy of DGDK.NET, am I to assume that a new version is available, and if so how can I get it?
Thanks,
Thierry

What exactly do you mean by this. DGDK.NET contains a sample called Winforms Showcase. This demonstrates exactly how to place the 3D viewport onto a WinForm using C#. TGC have not released the 1.0.7.0 update yet, but this version contains both VB.NET and C# Winform showcase examples.

Before, Rich was responsible for placing updated files onto the Order pages, but since he's moved on, Mike is waiting for information from Rich in the procedure for updating files.

Now I'm not sure because I don't know if Rich is still going to manage these aspects. I'll Speak with Mike and Rich about this next week, just to see exactly where this is heading.

Whatever the outcome, it'll maintain some degree of co-hierance.

Paul.

I'm awfully confused by this. This is DGDK.(NET) right? Version 1.0.6.0?

There should be a C# sample called Winforms Showcase. It's a demo that shows a purple or white double doughnut shape floating above a blue and white coloured plane. It's the only sample that demonstrates using an overriden Window under .NET.

I am using DarkGDK - Version 1.6.2c according to the readme.txt. that is, I am using the shareware edition.
