Just found this amazing site for free tilesets:

I'm using them for a small project myself now, just crop the image you need in paint or even better macromedia fireworks and add transparency

Just thought i'd share it with you all, enjoy!

I have found this site WAY back when you couldnt make your own characters yet,it was bad then.but it seems more advanced now!
