Hi,
I have downloaded DBP and reloaded it on a new hard disk.
I have Window XP sp2 and DirectX 9 on the computer.
Every time I try to compile any code, including code from the help files,I get an error message.
¨Failed to WriteProgramAsEXEorDebug¨.

Does anyone know what I´m doing wrong.
Please Help.
Regards
Peter Burrows

You mean downloaded? Is it full or trial?

If by "reload" you mean copied the directory you should probably just do a regular install. If you installed it normally try uninstalling and reinstalling.

What I did was, downloaded ¨DBP on line(11MB)¨ from my ¨Order History¨on this website, so I assume it is the full version.
I then installed dbp from that file onto my harddisk and activated it using the key provided.
I¨ve done this three times now but still get the same error!

Hi,
I found the answer!!
My mother board has an onboard graphics chip which needed software to run correctly.
I¨ve done that and DBP compiles and debugs ok now.

two things i can think of: 1) you have the trial version, with which you cannot compile an .exe
2) your computer doesn't support the graphic requirements of the program you are compiling (e.g., your graphics card is not 3D compatible).
