Hi there,
I've been testing shadowing and I want to save time to anyone who tries them:

You cannot use the 'texture object' command on a ghosted object (any -not only the cast shadows one). If you do so, the shadow will disappear when the ghosted-textured object appears on screen.
You have to use pre-textured objects.

that is about my las topic: http://www.darkbasicpro.com/apollo/view.php?t=9605&b=1

And another big issue I cannot resolve at this moment:

The shadows trespass the objects!
Any ideas please?

It is wrong because the cubes should also cast shadows. If you turn that on do you get an even darker area where the shadows overlap?

That's right! Problem solved. I do not get that 'even darker area'.

Great, thanks a lot.

To solve your other problem - I can't say for sure as shadowing doesn't work on my gfx card - have you tried turning shadowing off manually, swapping the texture - and then re-enabling shadows ?

I guess that would not work, PneumaticDryll. I tried it in several ways -turning on and off here and there- until I got the reason, and the shadows never worked if the -ghosted- objects were textured inside DBP.

What we have now is this:

When you are 'inside' a shadow' the traspass effect comes back.
Well, I have think about turning off the effect if the object is not in the field of view, but it does not solve this:

Look at the shadow on the wall, it is inverted when the camera is inside another shadow.

I realize now that the effect only can be deactivated if you texture it again.
