I'm really getting into uncharted experience when it comes to modelling heads. These are untextured, but there is vertex color for viewing purposes. I'm also frustrated with male and female differences between faces... I hope I made them convincing.

A Sayphin Male...

A Sayphin Female...

What can I do to improve?

You're probably asking "who the heck are the Sayphin?" I'm frustrated because one of their distinguishing characteristics from humans was a slightly taller, but narrower head. I don't think I made that look obvious, if even. Don't laugh... I'm TRYING to break free of the elves, dwarves, and dragons nitch.

Well, the textures will either make or break those models. As demonstrated in the Alien Ship thread, good textures can do wonders for low poly models.

Yeah... like I said: they were yet untextured, but vertex shaded.

I'm trying to draw items such as eyes for scanning purposes, but I'm not a very good 2D artist. I'm working with photoshop more in the computer lab here at the university (CS2). Hopefully, I can chalk up something on a good UV map. Because I'm not a good 2D artist, this is proving to be quite a challenge, but a good learning experience.

nitch? or maybe 'cliche'

anyway, so far it looks good..ish...

looks like you could add a lot more polys without slowing down too much unless your comp sucks.

add some more details and a good texture and they could turn out to be good non-cliched...things...

If you shoot a mime, should you use a silencer?
