i have created several entities/models in 3ds max 5. i exported this as a .x file with panda exporter. i then used fps creator entity maker thing to make them into entities, i did all the things the program says and they appear in fps creator but they do not have the texture i gave them in 3ds max, they are just all grey, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

thanks

here is a .x file of a ball i was testing if you would like to try your self

Thats just the x file though. Without the texture it's useless trying to test. If this is all you put in the entity folders, no wonder you don't see a texture.

i was just trying again and found out that you have to put the texture you want in the raw assets folder and i made it a .tga file like the sample textures. when im creating my entity the sample textures work but mine wont

You need to tell entity creator which texture to use,use .dds or you may end up with transparent areas in game.
Whwn you bring the files over to your entity bank make sure you move the texture with them. You can check the proper texture is being selected in the entity fpe.You can also define the texture by right clicking the entity in the editor

i do tell the entity creator which texture to use and it just goes grey. and i do move the textures with them. also when i go to define the texture in fps creator it just stays grey, i have used .jpg, .png, .tga for my terxtures and none work. could it have something to do with my models?

Try taking the model into fpsc and right click on it,select the texture from here,if this still doesn't work,I'm not sure.
Does the texture show properly in 3ds max, when exporting with panda check the convert texture box in texture settings, this converts to tga and places the file along with your .x,also ensure the texture is in same folder as entity or that the path to it is correct.

Did you try testing another texture on your own model.I know it wont fit properly but it should appear somewhere on the model.
Have you tried exporting something other than a sphere?
