Hi guys.
So, i made small function that renders 6 images of cubemap.
I can save it as 6 dds files or 1.
But...
Dark Basic says, that it cant load them. Only special "cubic" dds,
that can be made by NVidia PShop plugin for example.

Is there any way to save'n'load or apply to an object hand-made
cubemap while running game???

---
PS Guess not...in that case, maybe somebody could ask Lee to make
such feauture
?
---
PPS Of course i know about dynamic cubemaps! But i need more than their limit (8 or 10 AFAIR). Although all this talk is about STATIC
cubemaps. Smth like pre-rendered cubemaps. Yep.

I'm not completely sure about that, but I think that cubemaps just store a strip of all the sides, so maybe with some get image and paste image you could make this strip. You must then save it as a dds, and load it back as a cubemap.
It might work, but I think it seems too easy.

I have checked everything once again - DB cant load stripped image as cubemap! Plus DB have no settings for dds output exept DXT format but it makes no sence.

code of function that makes cubemap.

Or you could just make a sphere map out of it and use that.
