worked fine for me,
i use Windows 7 and 64 bit too.
i dont remember i installed any specific drivers for that
but make sure u have the latest DirectX 9.0c version and latest display driver installed.

also make sure you installed the latest dbp 7.7 version. you can find it on the forums somewhere.

good luck.

Works fine for me too. I installed DBPro into a folder in the Documents Library.

I have ran DBP in x64 windows 7 since the dawn of time.. (of 64 bit windows 7 machines)

And now I'm running in windows 8 x64 just fine.

It's working swell for me too...
Are you sure it doesn't give any error message?
Does it open at all or you double click the icon and nothing happens?
Tried running it from cmd to see if it writes anything there (I really don't think it will, but I always trty that when applications end unexpectedly)?

You might need to make sure you are running one of the latest updates, e.g. U77RC. Are you unable to run DBPro at all or is it just compiled exe files that won't run?

I don't know which update the free version is using. Does anyone know?

Edit

Just in case you missed it the latest U77 updates are available from the thread near the top of this board, i.e. see the first post in this thread:

U77 Public Release Candidate

Note in particular the comment under the heading Major Fix.

It is not yet finalised but is the best version to use if you are new to DBPro - and for most other DBPro programmers as well.
