Hi!
In my current project I needed a special high speed effect, so after some playing I "discovered" the following:

I don`t know this forum very well, therefore I don`t know wether anybody has written something similar. I hope some people can need this one.
Greetings from Germany

That's really awesome. I tested this with my current project and there was no slowdown. Solid 60 FPS in fullscreen.

However how could the effect be turned off? Is there a command that overules/cancels set camera to image.

Take care

I don`t know any command which cancels set camera to image
I use a second cam to handle the blur. If I don`t need the blur anymore, I delete the second camera and the sprite. While blurring I set the first cams view to 0,0,0,0 .. so I have no more backdrop.

@Robin: I remember you Du hast damals dein Projekt für den Wettbewerb im deutschen Forum vorgestellt, oder?

I used a similar technique in one of my demo's too.. Here it is.

Its a similar principle, it doesn't redraw the background so it would normally just draw overitself. My method simply overwrites it all with a black texture.

@ AtomR

To turn off motion blur, just use the 'texture object' command with a blank image, and then set transparancy to 0.

At least, that should work!
