Texture Maker / Where can I get the help files?

I tried to access the help files from within Texture Maker Advanced v3.1. But I get an error box that says "msg_cannot_call_help". I would like to see the help files so that I can figure out texture mapping and creating heightmaps for terrains and all. Please help me. Also, I see that there is a newer version but when I tried to DL it, it said it was corrupted. Is there a way to get the newest version? Thanks for your help.

the help files don't come up for me either. But in any case it is probably just a link leading to this page.

Actually you could just go into your program files to your texture maker folder then just drag the html file from the help folder to your desktop, which is what I just did.

I have exactly the same problem - but only on Vista. I do exactly what tatts suggested - just open the Help file from Windows and everything is fine.

I've only had Texture Maker (V3.1) for a couple of weeks and it seems to be a very nice piece of software. Some of the documentation seems to be out of date and presumably refers to an earlier version, but with a bit of experimentation and practice I can easily produce a variety of realistic textures, heightmaps, normal maps, etc. Definitely worth the price.

And don't forget to download all the tutorials from various sites before they disappear.

I don't understand how to truly use and create heightmaps using the program. How do you create a heightmap and then have it textured to look like an actual landscape?
